Christmas Gifts

I’m finally back to the blogging world, only twelve days into the new year!  ๐Ÿ™‚  I’ve been waiting to take pictures of all my wonderful Christmas gifts, but they’ve been sitting around my room until yesterday. While I was listening to my French DVD, I decided to multi-task and take these pictures. The picture above shows some of my many gifts–I feel so blessed!  A Spanish Bible, cookie cookbook, towels, Josh Groban CD, Roman Holiday (one of my favorite movies!), DessertPro decorator…the list goes on.
My sis and family gave me Pride and Prejudice, Northanger Abbey, and Mansfield Park to complete my Jane Austen set. Every single book is by a completely different publisher, which I think is so neat, because it shows how popular her books have remained over the years.
Earrings! The beautiful pair on the right is from Rebekah, the Colts earrings from Daddy.
My talented and amazing friend Theresa made this beautiful picture board for me.  I still need to print more pictures, but this is one of my all-time favorites. ๐Ÿ™‚
I received enough different clothing items to make a complete outfit, I realized!  The blanket pants are so cozy…I’m wearing them as I type.  The hat is from Mom and Dad, the scarf from Gretchen and Merritt. And the shirt is a Colts shirt that I love, and I’ve already worn it numerous times. I think I’ll wear it for the Super Bowl, even though the Colts aren’t going this year. (They lost to the Jets last week, 17-16, in the last three seconds of the game! I cried.) I spent who knows how long taking pictures of myself in the mirror…do you know how hard it is? Finally I employed the flashlight Caleb gave me to lighten things up a bit, but the final product is still quite grainy.

I loved Christmas, not just because of the gifts, but because of the wonderful family I was privileged to spend it with. Nothing is more fun than watching your nieces rip open presents in front of the Christmas tree.
P. S. I was going to publish this at 11:11 a. m., 1/11/11. But I just realized that it’s already the twelfth! Sadness. I guess I’ll have to wait till 11:11, 11/11/11.
