He Is Faithful

Last week I was scheduled to have three days of piano adjudication for solos, hymns, and duets. I had practiced these songs for four months. The evening before my first day, I got a bad sore throat. Then, during the night, let’s just say my stomach didn’t want food in it anymore. So the next two days I had to miss my adjudication. It was a big disappointment, because I had worked hard on these songs. But on the third day, I was finally well enough to play my duets. My wonderful teacher was able to schedule things so that I could also play my hymns and solos on that same day! I was able to perform through God’s strength, for “though I am weak, He is strong.”

He is faithful. Even when we don’t understand at the moment why something might be happening, God has everything planned. He does what is best for us in the long run. Why, instead of travelling to town three days for adjudication, we just had to go once! In the bigger trials of life, He is also always there for us. In the end, with God’s help we will be stronger, better Christians, and love and trust Him even more.

“For we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28
